Anadarko Moçambique Área 1 comprises Anadarko Petroleum Corporation (36.5%), Mitsui E&P Mozambique Area 1 (20%), Empresa Nacional de Hidrocarbonetos (15%), BPRL Ventures Mozambique (10%), Videocon Mozambique Rovuma 1 (10%) and PTT Exploration & Production (8.5%).

Project Description
The project involves the construction of Mozambique’s first LNG facility. The facility will be located in Cabo Delgado province, 2 000 km north-east of Mozambique’s capital, Maputo, and will include four trains, each producing five-million tons of LNG a year.

The feedstock for the plant will be provided by offshore production facilities at Offshore Area 1, operated by Anadarko, and Offshore Area 4, operated by Eni. The project has the potential to expand its future capacity up to an estimated 50 million tons a year of LNG.
